Guadalajara is a Spanish province belonging to the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha. It has its capital in the namesake Guadalajara. Bordered on the north by Soria, northeast by Zaragoza, east by Teruel, south by Cuenca, west by Madrid and northwest by Segovia. Its population is 254 308 inhabitants with a density of 20.90 inhabitants / km².33.4% of them live in the capital. There are 288 municipalities in the province, of which 224 a 77,78% have fewer than 200 inhabitants. The most important town after the capital is Azuqueca de Henares, a leading industrial center of the province with 34,685 inhabitants.
