Mingǝcevir
Mingachevir is one of the important cities of Azerbaijan, the fourth most populated city in the country with an approximate population of 100 000 inhabitants. It is known as the city of lights for its hydroelectric power station on the Kurá River, which divides the city in half. The Kurá is the largest river in Azerbaijan and the artificial reservoir behind the Mingachevir dam is the largest reservoir in the country. Mingachevir is located at 275 km from Baku.
