Chemax
Chemax, which in the Mayan language means "tree of monkeys", is a town located in the east of the state of Yucatan, Mexico. It is since 1918, the head of the homonymous municipality. Its foundation takes place in 1549, when an encomienda is created in favor of Juan López de Mena.
