Tihuatlán
Tihuatlán is a municipality located in the Mexican state of Veracruz, belonging to the region of the Huasteca Veracruzana, east of the Mexican Republic. Bordered north with the municipalities of Álamo Temapache and Tuxpan, east with the municipalities of Cazones, Poza Rica and Papantla, west with the municipality of Castillo de Teayo and the state of Puebla. The homonymous head, is a locality of 12,765 inhabitants. According to the II Population and Housing Count INEGI 2005, the total population of the municipality is 80,923 inhabitants, some of its most important localities are conurbated with the urban sprawl of the city of Poza Rica de Hidalgo, forming part of the metropolitan area of this neighboring city.
