Gutiérrez Zamora is a municipality located in the Mexican state of Veracruz, in the region of Totonacapan, on the coastal plain of the Gulf of Mexico to the east of the Mexican Republic. It limits to the north, south and this with the municipality of Tecolutla and, to the west, with the municipality of Papantla. The homonymous head, is a locality of 13,484 inhabitants. The municipality is named in honor of General Manuel Gutiérrez Zamora, a native of the state of Veracruz and governor of the same. According to the INEGI 2010 Population and Housing Count, the total population of the municipality is 24,353 inhabitants.
