The municipality of Chinampa de Gorostiza is located in the northern area of the state of Veracruz in the region called Huasteca Alta, is one of the 212 municipalities of the entity. It is located at coordinates 21°22 "north latitude and 97°44" west longitude, and has a height of 100 meters above sea level. The municipality consists of 69 localities in which 14,143 people live. Its limits are: North: Tamalín and Tantima. South: Naranjos Amatlán. East: Tamiahua. West: Tamalín. Chinampa de Gorostiza is a municipality with a very warm climate and rainfall mainly in summer and autumn.
The municipality of Chinampa de Gorostiza has its celebrations on the days of June 12 to 14, where the festivities are celebrated in honor of San Antonio and on June 29 it is celebrated in São Paulo, and also in the month of December they celebrate the Guadalupe's Virgin.
