Atizapán
Atizapán is one of the 125 municipalities of the State of Mexico, it is a mainly urban community with an area of 7,091 km². It limits to the north with San Antonio the Island, Tianguistenco and Almoloya del Río. To the south with Almoloya del Río. To the east with Tianguistenco and Almoloya del Río. And to the west with Almoloya del Río and San Antonio la Isla. According to the 2010 census it has a total population of 10 299 inhabitants. The name Atizapán comes from the Nahuatl Atizapan and means «in the white water» or «in the white earth ».
