The municipality of Coacoatzintla is located in the state of Veracruz in the central mountainous area. It is one of the 212 municipalities of the entity and is located at the coordinates 19°39'8.82 "N 96°56'26.21" W. It is at an altitude of 1,460 meters above sea level. The municipality is made up of 22 localities in which 8,294 people live. Its limits are: North: Tonayán and Tlacolulan. South: Jilotepec. East: Naolinco and Tonayán. West: TlacolulanCoacoatzintla is a municipality with many traditions, has its main festivals in April, when the traditional carnival is celebrated and from July 25 to August 30 religious festivities take place in honor of Santiago Apóstol and Santa Rosa de Lima, respectively.
