The Municipality of Zacatelco is one of the 60 municipalities that make up the state of Tlaxcala within the United Mexican States, this municipality is located in the south of the state and according to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography the total municipal population is 38 654 Its head is the city of Zacatelco. The municipality is part of the Puebla-Tlaxcala Metropolitan Area.
