Ahuacatlán
Ahuacatlán, is a municipality of the State of Nayarit, Mexico. It has an area of 494.4 km² and is located southeast of the state, bordering the municipalities of Santa María del Oro to the north, San Pedro Lagunillas to the west, Jala and Ixtlán del Río to the east and Amatlán de Cañas to the southeast. The municipal head takes the same name Ahuacatlán that etymologically means "Place of Avocados". One of the most important characters born in this municipality is the Father of Mexican Federalism and Founder of the State of Jalisco, Prisciliano Sánchez, who saw the first light on January 4,1783.
