Tamazula de Gordiano
Tamazula de Gordiano is a population located in the state of Jalisco in Mexico. Its name derives from the Nahuatl word "Tlamazolan" whose meaning is "place of toads". And it is as of 1856 that the municipality takes by official name Tamazula de Gordiano, in honor to the memory of the insurgent Gordiano Guzmán, original of the municipal agency of San Francisco. Nowadays Tamazula is a city that has a territorial surface of 1324.48 km², divided politically in 6 delegations, has 41 121 inhabitants, it is an important center of the sugar industry. As well as headquarters of the Southeast Jalisco Economic Region.
