San Julián is a municipality in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. It is located northeast of Jalisco, in the High South Region. It is part of the macro region of Bajío Occidente or Centro Occidente de México and is located within the coordinates 20º54'15 "at 21º10'45" north latitude and from 102º05'00 "to 110º14 ' 40 "west longitude. They are mainly dedicated to the primary sector. This city is the cradle of the Cristera since this was one of the municipalities where the armed Cristero movement was created. This municipality, like the rest of the area of Los Altos de Jalisco, is characterized by its folklore.
