Ayapango
Ayapango is a municipality belonging to the State of Mexico, located on the side of the Iztaccíhuatl volcano. Its first settlements go back to before the year 1162 D. C, in that year it was already inhabited by tríbus acxotecas and mihuaques of Olmeca-xicalanca origin. According to the population census of 2005, the town had 6,361 inhabitants.
