Ascope is the capital of the homonymous district and province, located in the department of La Libertad, in Peru. It is at an altitude of 230 meters above sea level. According to the 2013 census, it has 10,560 inhabitants. The Monumental Zone of Ascope was declared historical heritage of Peru on November 9,1987.
