Province of Lleida
Lérida is a Spanish province of the autonomous community of Catalonia, with capital in the homonymous city of Lleida. It has a population of 432 384 inhabitants. In the northwest corner of the province is the Aran Valley, a mountain area with its own language, Aranese. Composed of 231 municipalities, Lérida borders the provinces of Gerona, Barcelona,Tarragona, Zaragoza and Huesca, and with France and Andorra. The national park of Aigüestortes and Lake of San Mauricio, the old cathedral of Lérida or the Seu Vella, the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Vallbona, the Museum of Toys and Automata de Verdú and the Monastery of Bellpuig de las Avellanas are located in this Province.
