Province of Caravelí
The province of Caravelí, is one of the eight that make up the department of Arequipa, in Peru, under the administration of the regional government of Arequipa. It limits to the North with the department of Ayacucho, to the East with the provinces of the Union, Condesuyos and Camaná, to the South with the Pacific Ocean and to the West with the department of Ica. Hierarchically within the Catholic Church, belongs to the Prelature of Caravelí that was erected on November 21,1957 through the Bull "Quasi Mater Dulcissima" given by Pope Pius XII.
