Departamento de Chimbas
Chimbas is a department of the Province of San Juan. It is located in the south center of the same one in the right margin of the San Juan river, where a completely urbanized landscape predominates, towards the west, since its localities conform Great San Juan, and agricultural towards the east. It also stands out for having an important industrial activity, being the most important in the province. Chimbas occupies only 0.06% of the total provincial surface, which makes it one of the least extensive jurisdictions. It is popularly known for its intense activity in the public celebration of the carnival.
