Departamento de Los Andes
The department of Los Andes is a department in the province of Salta. It is the second largest department in the province, and at the same time, the least populated, with a density of less than 1 inhabitant per square kilometer. It suffers serious problems of poverty and underdevelopment and there is a notable emigration of young people to the city of Salta and other urban centers of the eastern valley of Lerma.
