Cantón Calvas
Calvas canton is an Ecuadorian subnational territorial entity, from the province of Loja, Ecuador. The origin of its name is due to the river of the same name that serves as border with Peru. The total population in the Calvas canton is 28,185 inhabitants according to the census conducted in 2010, which is distributed in 47% in the urban area, 28% in the periphery, and 24% in the rural parishes.
