Cantón Macará
Located 195 km from the city of Loja, an extensive valley of land used mainly for rice production. It is crossed by the river of the same name, forming on its beach resorts visited by national and foreign tourists. This river also serves as an international natural boundary with Peru, on which stands the International bridge that welcomes visiting tourists. The canton has 25901 inhabitants.
