It is located to the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula on the border with Portugal, in the South Sub-plateau. Bordered on the east by the community of Castilla-La Mancha, through the provinces of Toledo and Ciudad Real. To the south it borders the provinces of Huelva and Seville and to the southeast with that of Córdoba, all of them in Andalusia.
