Municipio de Juncos
Juncos, founded by the request of Tomás Pizarro on August 2,1797, is one of the 78 municipalities that make up the island of Puerto Rico. The town of Juncos is located in the eastern part of the island. The name of Juncos is due to the abundance of the reed plant in the Valenciano River, Gurabo River and other places in the town. The gentilicio of the citizens of Juncos is junqueños.
