Victoria

Victoria is one of the six states that, together with the two continental territories and the six insular ones, make up the Commonwealth of Australia. Its capital and most populated city is Melbourne -located at the bottom of Port Phillip Bay. It is located in the southeast of the country, bounded on the north by the Murray River that separates it from New South Wales, on the south by the Bass Strait that separates it from Tasmania, and on the west by South Australia. With 227 416 km² it is the second least extensive state -before Tasmania-, with 5,821,300 inhabitants. In 2014, the second most populated - behind New South Wales - and with 24.5 inhab / km², the most densely populated.
