Pohnpei
Ponape is one of the four states that constitute the Federated States of Micronesia, which is named after its main island, one of the Senyavin Islands. In it is the federal capital, Palikir. Embedded in the archipelago of the Caroline Islands. In Spanish, the name is Ponapé. In its ponapeña language the official denomination is Pohnpei. In English, Ponape and Pohnpei are used. The territory of the state of Pohnpei has a surface of 346 km ², being constituted by a main island and 161 small islands and atolls. Its maximum altitude is found in a remnant peak of a volcano.
