Tampico
The Municipality of Tampico is one of the 43 municipalities that make up the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. Its municipal seat is the city and port of Tampico. It is located to the southeast of the state capital Ciudad Victoria and its borders are to the north with the municipality of Altamira, to the south with Pueblo Viejo and with Pánuco in the state of Veracruz, to the east with the city and municipality of Madero and to the west with the town of Ebano in the state of San Luis Potosí.
