Choix
The municipality of Choix is one of the 18 municipalities of the Mexican state of Sinaloa, located in the extreme northwest of the State. Its head is the city of Choix. Choix or also called Choiz comes from the cahita choim which means "the breasts", and this was applied to a tribe collectors of gums or vegetable resins. This place name means, according to Mr. Héctor R. Olea,"place of pitch" or "where they live the resin collectors ".
