The municipality of Huejutla de Reyes is one of the eighty-four municipalities that make up the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. Whose municipal seat is the town of Huejutla de Reyes. The municipality is located north of the Hidalgo territory between the parallels 21°02 'and 21°16' north latitude. The meridians 98°16 'and 98°37' west longitude. With an altitude between 100 and 1400 meters above sea level, this municipality has an area of 394.05 km2, and represents 1.89% of the surface area of the state, within the geographical region known as the Huasteca Hidalgo. It borders on the north with the municipality of San Felipe Orizatlán and with the state of Veracruz of Ignacio de la Llave.
To the east with the state of Veracruz of Ignacio de la Llave and with the municipalities of Huautla and Atlapexco. To the south with the municipalities of Atlapexco, Huazalingo and Tlanchinol. To the west with the municipalities of Tlanchinol, Jaltocán and San Felipe Orizatlán.
