Atotonilco de Tula
The municipality of Atotonilco de Tula is one of the eighty-four municipalities that make up the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. Whose municipal head is the locality of Atotonilco de Tula. With an altitude between 2000 and 2800 meters above sea level, this municipality has an area of 121.34 km2, and represents 0.58% of the state's surface, within the geographical region known as the Mezquital Valley. It borders to the north with the municipalities of Tula de Allende and Atitalaquia. To the east with the municipality of Ajacuba and the state of Mexico.
To the south with the state of Mexico and with the municipality of Tepeji del Río de Ocampo. To the west with the municipalities of Tepeji del Río de Ocampo and Tula de Allende. Atotonilco de Tula is considered within the metropolitan municipalities of the metropolitan area of Tula, also integrated by the municipalities of Tula de Allende, Atitalaquia, Tlahuelilpan and Tlaxcoapan, being Tula de Allende the central municipality.
