Atotonilco el Grande
The municipality of Atotonilco el Grande is one of the eighty-four municipalities that make up the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. Whose municipal seat is the town of Atotonilco el Grande. Atotonilco el Grande is located at the center of the Hidalgo territory between the parallels 20°13 'and 20°27' north latitude. The meridians 98°32 'and 98°50' of west longitude. With an altitude between 1300 and 2600 meters above sea level, this municipality has an area of 457.09 km2, and represents 2.20% of the surface of the state, within the geographical region known as the Mining Region. It adjoins to the north with the municipalities of Metztitlán and San Agustín Metzquititlán.
To the east with the state of Veracruz by Ignacio de la Llave and with the municipality of Huasca de Ocampo. To the south with the municipalities of Huasca de Ocampo, Omitlán de Juárez and Mineral del Chico. To the west with the municipalities of Mineral del Chico, Actopan and Metztitlán.
