Cochoapa el Grande
Cochoapa el Grande is one of the 81 municipalities that make up the state of Guerrero, in southern Mexico. It is part of the region of La Montaña and its head is the population of Cochoapa el Grande. Cochoapa el Grande was created from Decree No.588 published in the Official Gazette of the State Government on Friday, June 13,2003, when segregating from the municipality of Metlatónoc. Being a municipality of recent creation in the state of Guerrero. It was considered in 2006 by the National Population Council and in 2008 by the Organization of the United Nations as the poorest and most marginalized municipality of the Mexican Republic., In addition to having the lowest HDI in the state of Guerrero.
