Unión Juárez
The municipality of Unión Juárez belongs to the Soconusco region, located in the south of the State of Chiapas, shares the border with Guatemala. Because of its geography, Unión Juárez, it is one of the municipalities that produce coffee and at the same time where the tourist route of coffee in Chiapas takes place. According to the III Population and Housing Count of 2010, the municipality has 14,089 inhabitants and is mainly dedicated to the primary sector. Because of its cool climate, which contrasts with the one that predominates in the Soconusco region, as well as the beautiful landscapes and wooden constructions, Unión Juárez is known by locals as "La Suiza Chiapaneca".
