Mapastepec
Mapastepec is one of the 118 municipalities of the Mexican state of Chiapas, its name comes from Nahuatl and is interpreted as "Cerro del Mapache". It has an area of 1085.6 km². According to the III Population and Housing Count of 2010, the municipality has 43.913 inhabitants and are mainly dedicated to the primary sector.
