Grays Harbor County
Grays Harbor County is one of the 39 counties of the US state of Washington. In the year 2000, the population was 67,194 inhabitants. The county seat is Montesano, and its largest city is Aberdeen. It owes its name to Grays Harbor, a large estuary near the southwest of the county. This bay, likewise, is named after Captain Robert Gray who discovered it on May 7,1792. Grays Harbor County was founded on April 14,1854. It was originally called Chehalis County, taking the current name in 1915.
