Shawano County
Shawano County, founded in 1838, is one of 72 counties of the US state of Wisconsin. In the year 2000, the county had a population of 40,664 inhabitants and a population density of 18 people per km². The county seat is Shawano. The county is named after the word Ojibwe, which means "south.".
