Putnam County
Putnam County, founded in 1820, is one of 92 counties in the US state of Ohio. In the year 2000, the county had a population of 34,726 inhabitants and a population density of 28 people per km². The county seat is Ottawa. The county is named in honor of General Israel Putnam, an officer during the War of Independence of the United States.
