Adair County
Adair County is a county in the US state of Missouri. In the 2000 census the county had a population of 24,977 inhabitants. It is part of the micropolitan area of Kirksville. The county seat is Kirksville. The county was founded on January 29,1841 and was named in honor of John Adair, the eighth Governor of Kentucky.
