Tipton County
Tipton County is a county in the US state of Indiana. In the 2000 census the county had a population of 16,577 inhabitants. It is part of the metropolitan area of Kokomo. The county seat is Tipton County, which was founded in 1844 and was named after John Tipton, who fought at the Battle of Tippecanoe and later served as an Indiana senator.
