Tippecanoe County
Tippecanoe County is a county in the US state of Indiana. In the 2000 census the county had a population of 148,955 inhabitants. It is part of the Lafayette metropolitan area. The county seat is Lafayette. The county was founded on March 1,1826. Its name comes from the Anglicanization of the Miami-Illinois term "Kethtippecanoogi".
