Lee County
Lee County is a county in the US state of Illinois. In the 2000 census the county had a population of 36,062 inhabitants. It is part of the micropolitan area of Dixon. The county seat is Dixon. The county was formed on February 27,1839 from a portion of Ogle County. It was named in honor of Henry Lee III, the ninth Governor of Virginia.
