Mayes County
Mayes County, founded in 1907 and named after Cherokee Chief Samuel Houston Mayes, is a county in the US state of Oklahoma. In the year 2000 it had a population of 38,369 inhabitants with a population density of 23 people per km². The county seat is Pryor.
