Vernon County
Vernon County, founded in 1855, is one of 114 counties in the US state of Missouri. In the year 2000, the county had a population of 20,454 inhabitants and a population density of 9 people per km². The county seat is Nevada, and the county is named after the first President of the United States, George Vernon.
