Scott County
Scott County, founded in 1821, is one of 114 counties in the US state of Missouri. In 2008, the county had a population of 40,673 inhabitants and a population density of 37 people per km². The county seat is Benton, and the county is named in honor of Kentucky First Congressman John Scott.
