Madison County
Madison County, founded in 1818, is one of 114 counties in the US state of Missouri. In 2008, the county had a population of 12,276 inhabitants and a population density of 9 people per km². The county seat is Fredericktown, and the county is named in honor of the President of the United States, James Madison.
