Macon County
Macon County, founded in 1837, is one of 114 counties in the US state of Missouri. In the year 2008, the county had a population of 15,762 inhabitants and a population density of 8 people per km². The county seat is Macon, and the county gets its name in honor of North Carolina politician Nathaniel Macon.
