Clinton County
Clinton County is a county of the State of Missouri, United States. According to the Office of the Census of the United States of the 2000, its population was of 18.979 inhabitants. The county seat is in Plattsburg. The county was founded in 1833 and named in homage to the First Governor of New York and the first Vice President of the United States to die in service, George Clinton. Clinton is part of the Kansas metropolitan area.
