Montgomery County
Montgomery County, founded in 1867, is one of 105 counties in the US state of Kansas. In the year 2006, the county had a population of 34,692 inhabitants and a population density of 20.8 people per km². The county seat is Independence, and the county is named after Richard Montgomery.
