Jackson County
Jackson County, founded in 1859, is one of 105 counties in the US state of Kansas. In the year 2006, the county had a population of 13,500 inhabitants and a population density of 8 people per km². The county seat is Holton, and the county is named in honor of Andrew Jackson. The county is located within the Topeka metropolitan area.
