Geary County
Geary County is a county in the US state of Kansas. In the 2000 census the county had a population of 27,947 inhabitants. It is part of the metropolitan area of Manhattan. The county seat is Junction City. The county was founded on March 7,1889 and was named in honor of John W. Geary, the third Governor of the Kansas Territory.
