Scott County
Scott County is a county in the US state of Indiana. In the 2000 census the county had a population of 22,960 inhabitants. It is part of the micropolitan area of Scottsburg. The county seat is Scottsburg. The county was formed in 1820 from portions of Clark, Jackson, Jefferson, Jennings and Washington counties. It was named in honor of Charles Scott, the fourth Governor of Kentucky.
