Jersey County
Jersey County, founded in 1819, is one of 102 counties in the US state of Illinois. In 2008, the county had a population of 22,622 inhabitants and a population density of 23.7 people per km². The county seat is Jerseyville, and the county is named after the state of New Jersey.
